she stands tall.

firmly planted atop the mountain

as if she is a tree 

with roots growing deep below

the tempest winds swirl about her

and she is not swayed

storms rage around her

and lightning comes

she stands firm.

she upholds a light

burning bright

she reaches out 

and casts away the darkness

she is peace and serenity

in the face of the ominous dark

her faith upholds her.

the Lord is her strength.
